Classroom in a Bag began with a simple mission:
to ensure teachers and students have supplies, all while empowering our youth and focusing on literacy.
But as we continued working within the school system, another need became impossible to ignore.
We saw teachers showing up early, staying late, covering classes, mentoring students, buying supplies out of their own pockets — and still hearing, “We don’t have the budget to show appreciation right now.”
We saw campuses that wanted to do more for their teachers, but the funds simply weren’t there.
No weekly appreciation.
No small gestures.
No meaningful recognition.
No encouragement when the days felt heavy.
We saw teachers — good, hardworking teachers — go months and months without a single “thank you.”
And it didn’t sit right with us.
Teachers deserve more than one week of appreciation.
Teachers deserve more than a budget line.
Teachers deserve more than being told to “make it work.”
So we expanded our mission.
🌟OUR GOAL
The Appreciation Project was created to fill a gap we saw firsthand:
a lack of consistent, heart-centered, year-round appreciation for the people who shape our children and our communities.
Our goal is simple:
Support teachers emotionally and practically
Provide year-round encouragement
Make sure no teacher feels invisible
Help campuses that have little or no appreciation budget
Build a culture where teachers feel seen, valued, and supported
We believe teacher appreciation shouldn’t depend on a school’s budget or a district’s priorities.
It should be consistent.
It should be meaningful.
And it should be accessible to every teacher — including the ones who never expect anything at all.
That is why Classroom in a Bag exists today.
That is why The Appreciation Project was created.
And that is why we will continue to stand in the gap for teachers who deserve so much more than they receive.
🌟 WHAT WE DO
Through community donations, business partnerships, campus fundraisers, and volunteer support, we provide:
Treat carts • snack bars • seasonal surprises • testing-season encouragement
Self-care bags • handwritten notes • small morale boosters
Welcome kits • classroom essentials • encouragement notes
Bundles for high-need grade levels or teachers with limited resources
Teacher-of-the-month features • team appreciation days • staff spotlights
Every event is provided 100% free to participating campuses.
The Appreciation Project was born from a simple reality:
We see teachers giving everything they have — time, money, heart — yet receiving little in return.
This program fills that gap by delivering ongoing support, encouragement, and gratitude in places where teachers need it most.
Every month, not once a year.
To stay fair, transparent, and ethical, appreciation is distributed using our three-part support model:
We rotate support across districts so all campuses receive encouragement throughout the year.
Campuses receive appreciation based on the communities that support them.
We prioritize schools with limited appreciation budgets, new teachers, and staff experiencing burnout or hardship.
This ensures all teachers have equal access to encouragement and support.
Partnering is simple:
Complete our Campus Partnership Form
Assign a campus contact
Approve appreciation event dates
Receive free, year-round support for your staff
We handle everything — you just help us coordinate.
Every contribution — large or small — helps us reach more teachers.
Your support brings:
Encouragement to new teachers
Relief during testing seasons
Morale boosts during tough times
Joy to staff who feel overlooked
Supplies to teachers with limited resources
Year-round appreciation to schools with no budget
Together, we are building a community where teachers never feel invisible.
Teachers deserve more than one week of appreciation.
They deserve care, recognition, and support all year long.
